How to group equipment into zones

This article describes how to group equipment into zones (building, floor, sectors).

Configuration

Assign equipment to a group

In the Wattsense console, go to the Configuration / Equipment Tab.

In the menu Actions, select Group equipements

On the next page you can create your own groups (step 1) and associate each of your equipment with these groups (step 2)

On this page, if you click on the group name in the list on the left, only the equipment that belongs to this group will be displayed:

Once these changes are made, you can see your equipment grouped together.

The small arrow to the right of the name allows you to hide the contents of a group.

Modify the name of a group

Use the same menu as before (Configuration / Equipment / Actions / Group equipments). Click on the modify button.

Change the name and save :

The new group name will be automatically assigned.

Delete a group

In the same way as the modification function, the delete function allows you to reassign the equipment to the group No group. 

The group name will be removed from the list. The devices themselves will not be deleted.

Live Data

Similar to the Configuration tab, equipment is displayed by group block in the Live Data tab of the Console:

The display order is as follows:

• Devices grouped alphabetically
• Ungrouped devices
• Virtual properties

You can also search for a group in the dedicated zone :

In the example below, only equipments of MeetingRoomA are displayed :
