    This article is about SNVTs in Device Interface File (XIF) for TAC Xenta 301/302/401 controllers.

    TAC Xenta 301/302/401 are programmable and some SVNTs can be disabled in the default XIF of controllers.

    There are several configurations of the controller :

    • Integrated into a BMS: All SNVTs are accessible in the XIF
    • Stand-alone: SNVTs might be disabled in the XIF and they need to be configured using special software from Schneider. Usually, this operation must be done by Schneider or their partners.

  • Requirements to connect a LON IP equipment to the Tower/Bridge

     

    This article is about the requirements to connect a LON IP equipment to the Tower/Bridge.

     

    LonWorks IP
    XIF files of each model of equipment R
    LNS database in NLC* format R
    The IP address of all IP-852 routers* O
    Login / Password and configuration client port of IP-852 router    R
    R = Required - O = Optional - N/A = Not Applicable

     

    Notes

    • NLC format is a kind of CSV (Comma-Separate Variable ) format. Usually, an export can be made by NL220 software
    • IP-852 routers are usually L-IP from Loytec or similar
    XIF file and LNS database are mandatory for the next steps, in fact they will give you the following information :
    • Neuron ID and Program ID for your equipment configuration
    • NVIndex and SNVT Type for the properties configuration
     
    Here is the information that you will need to fill in order to add LON equipment :
     
    • You will need the NeuronID and the ProgramID (you will find this information most of the time in the XIF file)

  • How to register the Wattsense Box in a Loytec L-IP configured server

     

    This topic explains how to register the Wattsense Box into the Loytec L-IP configured server.

     

    Before registering the Box, make sure a static IP address is assigned to the Box.

    1. Log in into the L-IP using the Internet Explorer browser and its IP address
     
    2. Go to Config and a login password will be requested.
    • Newer L-IP version: Username = Admin and Password = loytec4u
    • Older L-IP version: Username = Administrator and Password = admin

    3. Check if the L-IP is configured as a server. Go to CEA-852 Server, and the configured server status should be enabled.

    4. Add the Wattsense Box to the channel list.
    • Go to CEA-852 Ch.List.
    • Click Add Device.
    • Enter the static IP address of the Wattsense Box and the configuration client port used by the L-IP.
    • Select the Box using the checkbox and Select Enable in the Action on Selected and Execute.
    • If the Box is registered correctly on the L-IP, a green tick appears.
    5. Log out.

  • Troubleshooting LON IP network

     

    This topic will give you some tips for troubleshooting a LON IP setup.

     

    1) Make sure the Wattsense Box has a static IP address configured.

        Go to Configuration -> Connectors (select the appropriate Ethernet port)

    2) Connect to the LON configured server and check the IP address of the Box is registered to it.

        The port number MUST match the one set up in the configured server of the LON router (e.g., L-IP).

    3) Check the domain ID and subnet ID correspond to the ones used by the backbone channel (i.e. main Ethernet channel).

    4) Check the Node Id of the Box is unique on that specific subnet

    If all the above checked were made :

    • Add the equipment and a LON variable
    • Send the configuration to the Box
