This article will guide you through the installation of your M-bus device.
First of all, please check this previous article about the M-bus network. It will help you to prepare other installations.
Hardware installation :
Be sure that you are correctly wired:
- Polarity is respected
- Make sure that you have the Bus powered only by the Box/Hub (around 37V)
- All devices are on the same network configuration (baudrate/unique M-bus address/etc..)
- Wire are communication twisted pair
- Make sure that your topology respect this one
Step 1:
Add your equipment by using your user console.
Step 2:
Configure the M-bus equipment and click on "Save".
Step 3:
Once the equipment is created, if you don't have already a M-bus network in place you will have to configure it also,
NOTE Depending on your network speed, those advanced parameters are really important. I.E: If your network is slow, raise your Response timeout
Step 4:
Now, it is time to add your properties to your equipment. To do that, you should know the important/mandatory information about your M-bus equipment. Each M-bus equipment has its own M-bus property table.

Regarding the M-bus physical network, you can monitor it from here:
You can select the Baudrate of the network.
All equipment should be in the exact same baudrate to work properly, make sure it is the case in yours.
