Boxes Embedded Software Release Notes (APPS and BSP)

This article lists the boxes embedded software release notes, the details of the technical features, improvements and fixes. The packages are named APPS and BSP.

APPS is the key software component involved in :

• Protocol management
• Backend communication
• Configuration management

BSP is the essential core or layer of software containing hardware-specific drivers and other routines that allow a particular Operating System (OS) to function in a specific hardware environment. It will be customizing our OS to best fit the requirements from the backend as well as the interfaces of our user's applications.

Deployment strategy : 

• Partial deployments : we will only release this version at the customer's request, or if it is necessary for your project. This is often the case for the new Lorawan codec, support for new data points type for wired protocols, etc.
• Mass deployments : we'll send the new software version to all connected products. This only happens when we have a major release to deploy (new feature, major bug fix, etc.).
